Position Overview:
ANSER is actively hiring a Research Analyst for Biodefense Governance to work onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA in support of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Defense Programs (OASD(NCB)). The person in this role will assist the OASD(NCB) by providing research analyst support to the Biodefense Council Secretariat.

Responsibilities:

• Support oversight, planning, and execution of Biodefense Council meetings.
• Provide administrative support to the Biodefense Council, including RSVP tracking, note taking, task tracking, briefing book development, file maintenance, etc.
• Provide scheduling and meeting support for Biodefense Council meetings, including calendar management, conference room reservations, conference room set up, etc.
• Support the development and maintenance of workplans for the Biodefense Council.
• Support the coordination of Biodefense Governance taskings within the OASD(NCB), as needed.
• Establish protocols and standard operating procedures for Biodefense Council products, such as read-aheads, meeting agendas, talking points, etc.
• Support the coordination of staff actions originating from the OASD(NCB) related to the Biodefense Council, as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Must have a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience OR 9+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated solid written and oral communication skills.
• Possess exceptional organizational skills.
• Experience working with and briefing senior DoD leaders.
• Adept at communicating and distributing information at all levels within an organization.
• Experience with the MS365 Suite, including Teams and SharePoint.

Desired Qualifications (NOT REQUIRED):

• Experience working biodefense efforts within the DoD.
• Experience working in support of DoD Governance bodies.
• Experience using the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS).
• Experience with the administration and management of senior-level meetings.
